Everything I’ve learned about GPK Series 2 (so far).
When you open the pack the “top” card should be showing the back with the gum on the bottom card face. If it isn’t, there there is a decent chance you’re opening a repack. Another sign you might have a repack is if you get a mix of A and B cards.
Wrapper is blue with an image of Adam Bomb. The original purchase price was 25 cents. Today you can snag a pack on eBay for about $40. The puzzles for series two are Messy TESSIE and Live MIKE.
There were three separate print runs for series two. In the first run the puzzle was Messy TESSIE and cards came in both matte and glossy. In the second run the puzzle was Jolted JOEL and cards were only available in glossy. The third print run replaced Schizo FRAN with Fran FRAN and the checklists also showed the change. It was also only available in glossy meaning there were three opportunities for glossy and only one for matte, so matte and Messy TESSIE puzzle pieces are much more rare in this series.
